Stable Ground Collective

Building Stability, Supporting Futures

About
Stable Ground Collective

Stable Ground Collective is a California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster youth and nonminor dependents as they transition from the foster care system into independent adulthood. We believe that stable housing, consistent support, and skill building opportunities are essential foundation for long-term success.

Our work centers on providing youth with not only a safe place to live, but also the tools, guidance, and community connections needed to build a stable, self-directed future.

We exist to address one of the most critical gaps facing young people aging out of foster care: access to stable housing paired with meaningful, ongoing support. Without a safe place to live and trusted guidance, too many transition-age youth face homelessness, unemployment, or involvement with other systems during the early years of independence. Stable Ground Collective was created to help change those outcomes by providing stability, support, and opportunity during this critical transition.

Big ideas, real impact.

Our programs focus on providing housing stability, life skills development, education support, and individualized case management designed specifically for transition-age youth. We believe that stability is the foundation for success — and that when young people are supported with consistency, dignity, and opportunity, they can build strong, self-directed futures.

  • Stable Ground Collective provides transitional housing and supportive services for former foster youth and nonminor dependents navigating the critical transition to independent living.

Our programs are designed to promote housing stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term well-being by pairing safe housing with individualized, youth-centered support. Services are voluntary, developmentally appropriate, and grounded in a trauma-informed approach.

    Key program components include:

    • Transitional and supportive housing

    • Individualized case management

    • Independent living and life skills development

    • Education and employment readiness support

    • Financial literacy and budgeting education
